Quality Policy

Policy statement

Bukan Polyethylene Pipe Cooperative, a manufacturer of polyethylene pipe for the water and gas conveyance industries in accordance with the applicable standards and requirements, and a provider of laboratory services, adopts appropriate management approaches and reviews them in good time, in order to raise customer satisfaction and the quality of its laboratory services. It places the following policies at the head of its performance:

Emphasis on the quality-management-system approach, and effort to embed a culture of continual improvement and prevention of nonconformity across all activities and processes, so as to reach the objectives set:

• Retaining existing markets and reaching new ones by identifying potential customers in related industries
• Raising productivity by reducing quality, production and overhead costs with the resources and facilities available
• Making the training system effective, so as to maintain and improve the integrated management system (IMS) and laboratory quality management in response to the need for a higher product quality standard
• Raising the satisfaction and morale of stakeholders, customers above all, and strengthening the Bukan Polyethylene Pipe brand
• Preventing environmental pollution and the waste of resources and energy
• Preventing accidents and improving workplace safety and health

Management commitment

I, together with all employees of the company, am committed to meeting every requirement set out in the quality management system on the basis of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 (IMS) and ISO/IEC 17025:2017. The policy above states the organisation's main lines and direction in production and in the delivery of testing services in the laboratory.

To that end I undertake to provide the infrastructure needed to deliver products and services in polyethylene pipe production and in the laboratory as well as possible, applying appropriate professional procedures; to observe confidentiality in safeguarding customers' information and property, especially in the laboratory; to give attention to the independence of production and of laboratory services, and to the adverse effect of any factor that could set non-shared interests in the laboratory against production, marketing, finance or other functions; to identify and implement throughout the organisation an integrated quality management system in accordance with the standards named and with any other standard or legal requirement relating to product, service and customer; and to pursue the continual improvement of its effectiveness.

The clauses of this policy are the foundation of work in every activity and process. To make sure it is fully implemented, remains suitable and effective, and is understood by employees, it is evaluated at management review meetings.
